History of the Fort

Amber Fort also known as Amer Fort. Amer or Amber fort was once known as Dhundar and then was Ruled by the Kachawas for 11th to 16th century, untill the capital was moved from Amer to Jaipur. Amer was built by the Raja Man Singh in 1592 AD and later expended and renovated by Raja Jai Singh-1. In Amer fort for built use red stone. For water source a lake made dawn side of Amer fort that name is Maota Lake.

Entry fee and Timing

Amber Fort opening time = 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Entry fee ( In Indian Rupees ) Indian = Rs. 100.00 Foreign = Rs. 550.00

Light and Show Timing ( Onward )

In English = 7:30 PM Entry fee = Rs. 200

In Hindi = 8:00 PM Entry Fee = Rs. 100

Visit Duration = 3 hours

Elephant Ride for 2 person = Rs. 1200 Timing for Elephant Ride for reach to Amber Fort ( 7:30AM to 12:30PM ) and ( 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM )

How to Reach Amber Fort

To reach Amber Fort you can book a cab for 11 km distance from Jaipur city. This is UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the famous fort of Rajasthan you should not miss out. To add a new page in your traveling book and make your trip memorable, you can even take the elephant ride to reach out at Amber fort.  For elephant ride you will have to reach early in morning.

Guides available for a fee. You can choose English, French, Hindi, Japanese, Russian, language guide as per your choice.

Best Time to Visit Amber Fort

As usual everyone known that Rajasthan state is a desert place and due to this it is warm place in usual summer month. But from Mid September or October to March month is the best time to visit Amber fort even all Rajasthan.
